1936 and 1938 Fancy Tokens
Extremely Rare as a set These were used in the 1936 and 1938 Gold Editions and the 1938 Fine Edition. Note the Celluloid inserts in the Trophy and Lantern. The Dowst Manufacturing Company made these early die cast tokens with a Zinc alloy called Zamak. It is also referred to as Pot Metal or White Metal. The dark oxidation, which is very common with many of the early tokens(1935-1938), was a result of impurities in the manufacturing process. By the late 1930s these impurities were eliminated.
